Ministries Children’s Church Our Children’s Church is headed up by Kylie Hicks.  With four children of her own, Kylie has a heart to see children learn and grow in the things of God and develop their own unique walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.  The children are taught the Word of God in a fun and creative environment, which includes arts and crafts, games and many other activities.  It is also a place where they can develop friendships with other children.  Our kids are a big part of Living Word Family Church, and by investing in their spiritual growth today, we are investing in the Church of tomorrow. The Bible Academy ^TM The Dean of our Bible Academy is Peter Wetzig.  The Bible Academy^TM will hold classes for the entire year in semester blocks on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings of the month, commencing at 7.15pm sharp.  You can sit in... or you can enrol for each block of sessions.  For more information, including our class schedule, see The Bible Academy^TM page for details. Music Ministry Part of the vision of Living Word Family Church is that we continue to “develop a heart of worship”.  Our music team is led by Katie Hicks.  Katie and the music team love to worship the Lord and lead us every Sunday morning in a time of praise and worship to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!  This prepares the way for the ministry of the Word of Faith.  Psalm 150:1-4 says: “Praise the LORD.  Praise God in His sanctuary: praise Him in the firmament of His power.  Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him...”. TeensLIVE (youth group) Our older youth meetings (for the ages 12 and up) are run by Pastor Dwight Hicks and Joshua Owens.   They can include movies, BBQs, game nights and, of course, hearing the Word shared – which continues to change the lives of our young people.  The Living Word Family Church Calendar of Events will keep you in touch with all these exciting events. Deacons’ Ministry The Deacons are led by Tracey Pekkanen.  To desire the position of a Deacon is one of great importance to the Lord Jesus Christ and also for the correct function of His Body.  Our pastors and five-fold ministry at Living Word Family Church, need the help of the Deacons so that our Church is a place where “all things are done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40).  1 Timothy 3:13 tells us that “those who have served well as Deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the Faith that is in Christ Jesus”.  What an inheritance! Women’s Ministry Women of Worth (W.O.W.) ladies’ meetings are led by Tracey Pekkanen. The ladies meet every month for fellowship, inspiration, fun and good food.  The meetings range from special evenings with guest speakers, breakfasts, morning teas, book club etc.  Visit our W.O.W. page to see the meetings planned for the year. Men’s Fellowship Our Men’s Fellowship is a great opportunity for men of all ages to fellowship together and enjoy good food, good company and good conversation.  Our men meet once every two months, usually over breakfast or lunch.  Why not take time out of your busy life one Saturday and come be inspired and encouraged as you get to know others.  The Living Word Family Church Calendar of Events will keep you in touch with these events.
